Liam Addison's first month

I apologize for not keeping up, we have been extremely busy!

On May 9th we celebrated Liam's one month "birthday!"

He is becoming such a little man, with a big personality!

Some little facts about Liam:

He wears 0-3 month old shirts & onesies, and newborn pants...the poor boy has short legs!

He now wears size one diapers.

He's established a routine, eating 4 ounces every three hours during the day.

His schedule is in three hour increments...he eats, playtime/awaketime for an hour, and sleeps for about two hours!

His eyes follow people around the room.

He has been smiling SO much.

He loves his activity gym, and loves kicking the toys.

He kicks, A LOT!

We switched from the Soothie to an Avent pacifier (he seems to like this one more)

He doesn't like to wear pants!

He likes to listen to books while laying on his Boppy.

His has amazing neck control & seems to like Tummy Time.

We've been having a lot of fun in the nice weather; going on walks in the stroller & in the Moby around the block & to Grandpa's house.

We recently went to Grinnell to visit Grammy Lorraine's work, my old center, my good friend Audrey& Liam's birthday buddy: Lauren! 

Liam also got to meet my friends Amy & Sallie this week! :)

I love, love, love staying home with Liam...and still have built up the courage to leave him with anyone other than Breck. Hmmph.. On June 13th I will be going back to work & Liam will go to the sitter, just three days/week. I am SO excited to work part time & spend the rest of my time with Liam!

L's 2nd Week

Happy Easter!

Liam had his first road trip today. We traveled to Grinnell to celebrate his first holiday!

Liam also got to meet his cousins Lily & Lana today! Lily LOVED Liam, and wanted to touch him & hold him. Lana was rather reserved, and just stared at him. She later asked why Liam was joining us while we ate our Easter lunch!

Liam got formula & diapers in his basket from my parents.

Breck & I just got him a few books! 

On Monday the 25th we went to Liam's check up! 

He weights 8lbs 8oz and is 20.5in long!

Liam HATES going to the Dr, because he has to be naked..he showed Dr. Uthe his temper, that even Breck & I barely see. Daddy sat out this appt. because he hasn't been feeling well...so after our appt Liam & I went to visit my coworkers! He slept most of the time, but I think he likes them! :)

Liam has been staying awake a lot more this week, he is eating 3-4 oz every 4 hours..and sometimes wants more. He also seems to be a little congested still, so we're giving him saline drops & sucking out his nose.

He loves when we talk or read to him. He has also started to show an interest in music this week...and likes to go to sleep listening to it. 

He continues to be doing well with his neck & head control. :)

Mommy & Daddy have been wedding planning & yesterday Liam joined Granny Lorraine & I for dress shopping...he seemed to like it! 

Liam's first week

On April 18th we went to Liam's weight check with Dr. Uthe, he was up to 7lbs. 11oz.

She checked him over & said he looked great! 

Later that week Liam's cord stump fell off when I was holding him naked & got stuck to my shirt! I am so glad it finally fell off, as it was starting to stink!

Since his cord stump was gone we gave him his first bath in his bath tub...it was complete chaos in the Bonnell house. Liam HATES being naked & cold, he screamed the whole time. I felt awful. He did calm down (a little) when we washed his hair. 

Every Friday night we join Grandpa Mark & Wendi for El Azteca! Liam joined for the first time! He did a great job & slept most of the time. Everyone loved seeing him! 

We celebrated Easter on the 23rd with Grandma Lisa, GG Thelma, & GG Doug. Liam enjoyed his baseball themed Easter basket (so did Mommy & Daddy!) We had guinea grinders & just visited. 

That day Liam went to Urgent Care for the first time, I thought he was a little congested & had a sore throat (yes, I was probably being paranoid.) The Dr. was not concerned about his congestion, but did say that Liam was constipated. I disagreed with the Dr, as I thought he was rushing & Liam had just had a BM early the morning before. But whatever...his tummy did feel rather hard. So we started adding about 1 tsp of Karo syrup to his bottles--it did the trick!
